Hi Everyone,
The band I am in called One More River now has a website on Reverbnation and we have a couple of videos that have been posted on YouTube. Check out the websites below and our band photo on the left. One More River will be playing three venues at this point this summer. The band's schedule is on our Reverbnation website with links to information about each of the venues. Enjoy the videos and maybe I'll see you at one of the concerts we are playing at this summer. Til later, God bless.

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God." Colossians 3:16
Hi, welcome to my website. My name is Jody Nelson. I enjoy singing and playing gospel music, particulary gospel bluegrass and folk music. I got a rather late start in life playing stringed instruments, not picking up a guitar until I was 30 years old. Although I consider the guitar as my primary instrument, I also enjoy plinking around on the banjo, mandolin, mountain dulcimer, and hammer dulcimer, the latter two which I built myself. One of these days I'm going to pick up the fiddle which I got a while back and start learning to play something on it as I have time. I have played in our praise band at church for several years and now also play in a gospel bluegrass band called One More River. I have been influenced by a variety of musicians and styles of music - bluegrass, folk, blues, jazz, old-time gospel, and contemporary Christian. One of my favorite things is to take an old hymn and give it a bluegrass/folk flavor. Some of my favorite performers and influences include Norman Blake, Doc Watson, Alison Krauss, Tim O'Brien, Claire Lynch, Front Range, Anne and Pete Sibley, and the Carter Family. My wife, Kathy, ocasionally joins me for duets as well. When all is said and done, I can often be heard to respond after playing a song, "Something like that!" since each time it may be a little different. I hope you enjoy what you find on the page. I'll try to keep it updated with new things.
